Linac Coherent Light Source (LCLS) at SLAC has been running since April, 2009 and is driven by eighty-four klystrons. Each klystron is powered by a line-type modulator with a high power thyratron as a switch. The thyratron life has become an important concern. In this report, we will review thyratron life data in LCLS as well as thyratron development.
