The
experimental high energy physics group at the University of Victoria
has an
opening for a Postdoctoral Fellowship associated with the Babar
Collaboration to analyse the large data sample
collected
at the SLAC B Factory. The position will be based at SLAC or Victoria
and is available immediately. The successful
applicant
will contribute to the UVic group's institutional responsibilities and
play a leading role in Babar physics analysis.
There is
potential for the successful candidate to also contribute to the R&D of
a SuperB detector associated with
high
luminosity e+e- flavour factory currently under design.
A recent
Ph.D. in experimental particle physics is required with demonstrated
software and data analysis experience.
