Centre de Physique des Particules de Marseille – Postdoc position
The Centre de Physique des Particules de Marseille invites applications
for a postdoctoral position to work on the LHCb experiment at CERN.
Applicant should have a PhD in experimental particle physics.
The LHCb/CPPM group is in charge of the first level muon trigger and
involved in the development of physics tools. The group is currently
preparing for analysis of early LHCb data with an emphasis on searches
for bmeson decays promising for new physics. Long term research
interests include CP violation in the Bs meson and search for very rare
decays. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the
definition and to the development of this analysis programme.
The present position is a CNRS funded post and is currently funded for
three years, but can be extended up to a maximum of six years,
commencing before end 2007. The post will be based in Marseille but will
include frequent travel to CERN. The LHCb/CPPM
group presently consists of four academic staff, six engineers and two
research students. For further information about research activities in
CPPM see
