16th Geant4 Collaboration Meeting @ SLAC
September 19th-23rd, 2011

Accommodation

We are sorry but we do not provide hotel reservation service for meeting participants. A list of hotels can be found in a map of the area to help you plan your accommodations. You may also check Stanford university hotels and motels guide. Please note that the distance shown in this guide is from the center of the Stanford University.

Stanford Guest House at SLAC Campus is already fully booked for the period of the collaboration meeting. You may still have a chance to book it on the day one month prior to your intended check-in date, as at that time rooms blocked by other meetings at SLAC or Stanford may be released. You can stay there as "SLAC Affiliated Individuals". At your reservation, please specify the reason of your stay as "attending to the Geant4 Collaboration Meeting at SLAC". Please be advised though that none of the Stanford Guest House or SLAC cafeteria offers dinner, and there are quite limited dinner options in a walking distance from SLAC.

Travel

For travel directions to SLAC, see SLAC maps and directions. You may also check the web pages of the San Francisco International Airport or the San Jose International Airport and the section "ground transport" for transportation options.

Stanford-operated free shuttle called Marguerite is available between SLAC and Stanford campus as well as to/from train stations and major shopping districts. Details including the route map and schedule are available here.

At the SLAC gate, each of you are requested to show either DoE issued photo ID for the case of an employee or a registered user of DoE funded labs, valid drivers license of any of state in US, or a valid passport for all other foreign nationals. Please inform to the guard at the gate that you are attending to "Geant4 Collaboration Meeting". The meeting takes place at the Redwood Meeting room in Building 48 (a.k.a. ROB). The SLAC meeting rooms map is here.
