Coherent X-Ray Imaging Instrument - The CXI instrument is, among other things, designed to allow high-resolution imaging of biological molecules using nanocrystals or single particles. Shown in this movie are the key components the CXI instruments which will allow two interaction regions with two independent X-ray focusing systems. The CXI instrument will provide two flexible sample environments, including a 2D X-ray detector and a suite of X-ray diagnostics.
