Author Guides (FACET & Test Facilities)
As a SLAC employee you are required to register and submit your scientific and technical information (STI) documents to
SciDoc. This simple process consists of ensuring that the properDepartment of Energy (DOE) acknowledgement appears on the
document (see table below), obtaining a SLAC document number, and submitting a preprint version of the paper to
SciDoc.
A FACET, NLCTA, ESTB or ASTA publication is also considered a SLAC document when
any of the authors meet the following criteria.

As a rare exception, for non-SLAC employee members or
affiliates of FACET and Test Facilities that reference a SLAC employee's
contribution in the author list or in the acknowledgements,
but
strongly believe that the document does not represent work
done at SLAC or using SLAC resources, a SLAC document
number may not be required. Exceptions should be routed
through the FACET and Test Facilities User Manager.
