Vary, J.P., Maris, P. (Iowa State U.); Shirokov, A.M. (Iowa State U.; SINP, Moscow); Honkanen, H., li, J. (Iowa State U.); Brodsky, S.J. (SLAC); Harindranath, A. (Saha Inst.); Teramond, G.F.de (Costa Rica U.)
Recent advances in ab initio quantum many-body methods and growth in computer power now enable calculations of nuclear structure with precision at a level sufficient to make clear statements on the nature of 3-body forces in nuclear physics. We also show that Light front Hamiltonian quantum field theory offers an attractive pathway for illuminating the role of QCD in nuclear structure.
