The fourteenth SLAC Summer Institute on Particle Physics was held from July 28 to August 8, 1986. Three hundred and forty-three physicists from 12 countires gathered to study the subject of "Probing the Standard Model." The format of past Institutes was followed in which the first seven days was organized as a "Summer School" and the last three as a "Topical Conference."
