Peer Review of Zach Porters Presentation By Andre Miranda
Miranda, Andre.

I think Zachs presentation was very informative. He began the talk by giving the audience a general introduction to his project. He introduced the idea of current magnets and how the technology is the same as it was in the 19th century. He then went on to talk about his research into novel materials that are being researched to be used as magnetic materials. Next he introduced the material he worked on and the work he did to better understand how its magnetic properties worked. He then wrapped up by informing everybody that what they learned doesnt solve the puzzle but its an important step to getting the entire picture. I feel Zach did a great job of presenting his material. The subject he did research on is very complicated and I feel he did a great job of presenting it in a way that the audience could understand and learn something. I believe he organized it very well. He began with the big picture and why we need better magnets, and then steadily went more in depth on his research. Finally he brought it all back to his initial point on magnets. It had a clear focus in presenting the relevant information on his research to explain it well to an audience that wasnt familiar with his work. It was well presented also. There were no mishaps during his presentation. His visual aids did well to inform the audience and were not distracting. Show Partial Abstract
