Louis provided a good overview of his research for the summer and did an excellent job going into specific examples of applications of this technology. His presentation had a clear focus and he was able to convey his message clearly. It was well organized, and it captured the attendees attention before delving into the specifics of the research. By formatting it in this way, Louis was able to communicate the details of his project without getting bogged down by the details. He was in control of the presentation as well as himself, he looked comfortable in front of the audience and maintained eye contact throughout the presentation, making to survey the entire room. While the overall presentation was excellent, there are still some areas of opportunity for Louis. He used numerous um and ahs throughout the presentation while he was mentally trying to prepare his next sentence. This could be fixed through more practice and developing the ability to think one sentence ahead of what hes about to say. The second area of opportunity is in how the graphs were presented. They were confusing to at least one member of the audience, with the meaning and units of one axis ambiguous to a person not familiar with the methods used to obtain the data. Overall, Louis is an excellent presenter, but still needs to polish some rough areas around the edges. Show Partial Abstract
